STORM Trade Fair
@LAX – Los Angles, CA
Every year we look forward to attending a variety of trade shows. These shows serve as a great opportunity for our team to network, chat with clients face-to-face, and understand how we can best serve the aspirational lifestyle industry — plus, it’s always fun to show our brands some love and see new product lines showcased.
This month’s show endeavors were especially exciting because we had the chance to attend the debut of Storm Trade Fair in Los Angeles. The show, which took place on the tarmac at LAX, allowed retailers and consumers of all stripes to explore brands with balance and a touch of adventure. Storm welcomed hundreds of attendees and over 100 high-end surf, skate, and camping brands.
Because the show was right in our backyard, NRI was able to visit a few of our client-featured brands like Globe, Herschel Supply Co., Impala, and Rumpl. It was an immersive experience seeing product off our shelves and on the floor for consumers to enjoy and experience.
In true California style, Storm founder Billy Stade wanted to capture the essence of adventure and innovation. In doing so, it felt like we were dropped into a SoCal surf shop. “Southern California is the home of the free spirit and the heartbeat of the California creative. There hasn’t been a Los Angeles trade fair in over ten years, so it was important we expressed the ‘something for every Californian’ experience,” said Billy. With the help of trade shows like Storm, communal brand visibility is trending again and NRI is excited to be a part of the momentum.
Get ready for another round of good vibes and high-fives. We look forward to hanging out at Storm’s trade fair in January 2023!
