Behind the Brand
SCARPA is a family-owned footwear company that originated in northern Italy in 1938. It was founded with the goal of bringing together the best shoemakers in the Asolo region to produce the finest mountain and performance footwear. Under the leadership of the Parisotto brothers, the brand grew quickly and became known for producing high-quality, comfortable, and durable boots and shoes; built by hand, designed for the most demanding environments, and trusted by generations of adventurers.
Today, SCARPA remains family-led and deeply committed to its roots. Their passion for craftsmanship and innovation continues to drive their global success, with products made for mountaineering, trekking, hiking, alpine running, climbing, and skiing.
Better Together
In 2005, SCARPA opened its North American headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, staffed and directed by veterans of the outdoor industry to oversee sales, marketing, and distribution across the U.S., Canada, and South America.
Two years later, in 2007, SCARPA partnered with NRI in Canada to establish a logistics foundation that would support the brand’s growth north of the border. What began as a 3PL relationship quickly evolved into a strategic collaboration grounded in shared values and mutual trust. Together, SCARPA and NRI developed a purpose-built Canadian solution that gave the brand a true home in Canada, ensuring inventory availability, faster fulfillment, lower shipping costs, and better service to Canadian retailers and consumers.
