Meet Paul 

Since 1999, Distribution Center Manager, Paul McNichol has been an invaluable part of NRI.  His contribution of expertise, leadership, and dedication have been a constant contribution to the growth of NRI. Over the years, he has held an impressive seven positions within NRI – showcasing his versatility and passion for professional development. 

Paul’s journey at NRI began in the service department where he handled warranty claims and repaired products for clients. His genuine enjoyment in providing exceptional service quickly became evident as he showcased his commitment to satisfying customer needs. After several years, Paul sought new challenges and took on the responsibility of overseeing NRI’s entire returns departments in Western Canada. This transition allowed him to broaden his knowledge of NRI’s overall operations and develop his leadership skills.  

Later, he transitioned into a supervisory role focused on the day-to-day operations of the company, where he played a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and seamless coordination between departments. Paul’s leadership abilities shone through as he guided teams toward shared objectives and fostered a positive work environment. 

Throughout his extensive tenure at NRI, Paul has witnessed the organization’s remarkable growth firsthand. When he first joined, NRI operated within a modest 10,000 square feet of warehouse space. Through the years, Paul has seen the company expand exponentially, with NRI’s current facilities spanning over a total of 2 million square feet.

 Paul had the privilege of forming lifelong friendships and building strong connections with outstanding individuals who share his passion for excellence.  

Paul’s Next Chapter 

Moving can be a challenging task, and relocating to a different country adds another layer of complexity.  Paul finds this change exciting and an opportunity for growth and development. The move to a larger facility in Henderson means he is now instrumental in overseeing operations in a sprawling 330,000-square-foot facility with a team of up to 300 individuals. In addition to his professional aspirations, the move to Henderson promises new experiences and a sense of belonging for the entire family.

 With the move to Henderson, Paul is most excited about the opportunity to build a new team from the ground up in a state-of-the-art facility. His unwavering commitment to fostering a family-like environment and his experience working with exceptional individuals make him the perfect leader for this endeavor.  

 Paul’s history at NRI is one of growth, adaptability, and relentless pursuit of excellence. From his early days in the service department to his current leadership role, Paul has consistently demonstrated his dedication and passion for driving success. While leaving behind the snow-capped peaks and the joy of snowboarding with friends may be bittersweet, Paul takes solace in knowing that new adventures and growth opportunities await. We are excited he has taken the next step!
