Meet Hildreth, NRI’s Logistics and Vendor Compliance Manager! In this edition of our Meet NRI series, we’re getting to know Hildreth a little better, from her experience at NRI to what keeps her inspired both at work and beyond. Read on to learn more!

Q: What has your path at NRI looked like?​

Hildreth: I started my NRI journey in LH as a Receiving Data Entry Clerk during July 2020. I cross trained with the Outbound Data Entry Clerk creating shipping labels and SSCC labels on SPS Webforms. The Vendor Compliance Manager at the time took notice and hired me as the Vendor Compliance Clerk within ten months of me being at NRI. I moved up from Clerk, to Specialist, Supervisor and am currently the Manager. 

Within my role, we help oversee and support all NRI US facilities. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Henderson, Nevada and be invited to Easton, Pennsylvania. And one day, Canada will host me too (fingers crossed!). 

Q: What What makes NRI stand out to you? ​

Hildreth: NRI cares. We succeed because we care. At the end of a ten-hour, twelve-hour day, how we came together as a team is what you feel. ​

Q: Have there been any specific opportunities or projects at NRI that contributed to your growth and development?

 
Hildreth: NRI has hosted various leadership courses that have helped me grow within my leadership space. I’ve had the opportunity to learn from Shane and New Quest Coaching Consulting. The following years, NRI created their own leadership courses leveraging LinkedIn courses and hosted by our People Experience. Hearing from other managers and being supported by them, as I learn, has been a valuable experience for me. 

I’ve been able to attend Dillard’s Vendor Orientation, learn the internal workings of the retailer, and support our NRI clients that ship there. 

I participated in monthly RVCF meetings and was able to attend their annual conference in 2024. It was a great network opportunity to meet Vendors and Retailers. 

Q: Describe your current role at NRI.

Hildreth​: I am currently the Logistics and Vendor Compliance Manager at NRI. It encompasses the Transportation Department and Vendor Compliance department for both US and Canada. Within my role, I help oversee the business relationship with NRI OPS and Carriers such as (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Ontrac, USPS). We ensure we have daily pickups and manage carrier peak projections during Q4.  

For vendor compliance, and wholesale majors, we help set up our clients to ship within wholesale major compliance. In addition, we also help manage NRI’s RFID Value Add Service. 

Q: What do you like to do outside of work? ​

Hildreth: I love being outdoors! I camp every opportunity I get, go rock climbing annually, I am also an avid bird watcher. Every Sunday I go to different coffee shops, farmer’s markets and bookstores. I am a big family person, so I hang out with all my littles, and we play tether ball, go swimming, and learn about Pluto and dinosaurs. 

Q: Which NRI value do you align with most, and why? ​​

Hildreth: Balance of Lifestyle and Success. My team has a “work hard, play hard” mentality. We take pride in our work, our attendance and performance. But maintaining space for the “fun” times in life at work is also important. We celebrate birthdays, do just-because potlucks, and share monthly coffees. Taking PTO and resting your mind is important to ensure you show up and show out the days you are in the office.
